Everything you need to know
(hopefully)
If we missed anything here, please message us.
RSVP
Please RSVP by 1 November 2026 — that’s the last day to submit your attendance and dietary requirements. We book and pay for rooms in advance, so attendance, dietary needs and room close after that date. Your travel details (the Sunday pizza party and your shuttle transfer) can still be updated via your invitation link until 31 January 2027. Who’s attending is locked in once you’ve confirmed, so just message us directly for anything to do with that.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in opens at 2.30pm on Sunday 2nd May — we’d love for you to arrive then, settle into your room, take a dip in the pool or wander the castle grounds, before the pizza party kicks off at 6pm.
By 10am on Tuesday 4th May.
The castle is ours exclusively for the wedding dates only, so it’s not possible to extend there. We’d love for you to make a proper holiday of the trip before or after — just make sure you’re checked in from 2.30pm on the 2nd and checked out by 10am on the 4th.
Travel
Rome (FCO) or Perugia (PEG) both work well — we’re arranging shuttles from both on arrival day. There are other airports within driving distance as well: Rome (CIA), Rimini (RMI), Ancona (AOI) and Florence (FLR).
Yes — return shuttles to both Perugia (PEG) and Rome (FCO) airports leave the castle at 10.30am on Tuesday. Please make sure you let us know if you need the shuttle via your RSVP. For anywhere else, you’ll need to arrange your own transport.
Only if you’re planning to explore beyond the wedding weekend — genuinely the easiest way to see the wider region, but not essential if you’re just here for the wedding and flying to and from Perugia.
Let us know via the RSVP or message us directly and we’ll share the exact address — we’re keeping the location a surprise for everyone else!
Dress Code & Weather
Casual wear and swimwear for the pizza party and pool on the 2nd; something comfortable for the castle activity the next morning; formal earth & wine coloursFor the ladiesFor the gentlemen (women: no mini dresses or white/cream/nude/champagne/bright red for the wedding day), dinner and dancing on the 3rd; and casual travel clothes for departure.
Expect mild, sunny days (21–23°C) and cooler evenings (10–11°C) — worth packing a light layer. It’s Umbria in spring, so the odd shower isn’t out of the question.
Children & Plus-Ones
Yes — please let us know via the RSVP if we haven’t already added them. We’re arranging babysitters for the ceremony, and likely for dinner too, so parents can relax and properly enjoy the evening.
We’re not able to accommodate plus-ones unfortunately. The only exceptions: if we’ve missed one of your children off the RSVP, or you’re not sure whether your partner’s included — just let us know directly and we’ll sort it.
Gifts
Making the trip to be with us is the most wonderful gift we could receive, and we don’t expect anything else. That said, for friends and family who’ve kindly asked, we’ve put together a small registry of things we’re slowly building our home around — no pressure, no expectation. See the gift registry page.
Costs
The shuttle transfer, pizza party and the wedding day itself are all covered. You’ll need to budget for the room, for lunch on the 3rd and any morning activity we may arrange — details to follow.
Accessibility
We can accommodate most accessibility needs — just let us know via the RSVP and we’ll make sure everything’s arranged.
